Cherie is working on cities outside of Bozeman and the MHP to attend.
Wendy stated that Jenna has been a great help working with MADD. MADD and the Task Force have strict guideline as to what they can and cannot do and they are not always the same.
Wendy discussed MADD’s support for proposed laws in the next legislative session.
Marketing
Holiday postcards – 450 cards have been mailed, still have 300 cards with stamps left. Jenna asked
community corrections to have a volunteer go through the phone book to get the rest mailed to businesses not already on our mailing list.
Holiday posters – 3 examples were passed around for review. Katie motioned that $100 be spent for
printing the posters, Matt seconded, approved.
Advertising – A discussion was held on where to place ads and the number before the holidays. Katie
suggested Dec 1 and 6 for the Chronicle because of the Christmas Stroll. Cherie will talk to the Chronicle to check on placing the ads in the criminal justice section. Bob stated one should be placed just before New Years also. Katie moved that $1,500 be spend on advertising, Matt seconded, approved.
Proclamations – Jenna is preparing for 3D Month in conjunction with MADD.
Jenna passed around a vest that could be worn by county DUI roadside workers. She will check on the
cost of printing a Task Force message on the vests.
DUI Task Force employee evaluation procedure
Jenna discussed the coordinators job eval process and asked for a change in that process. Katie suggested
the Task Force devote part of the next meeting in closed session to go over the evaluation process.
Jenna said several things in the job evaluation she just received were incorrect and she will be writing a
rebuttal after talking with the people who participated in the evaluation process. She proposed a “coordinator” report be part of future meetings.
Finances
Katie reported on how a spreadsheet will be given to the county listing the Task Force expenditures and
income.
Jenna passed around an example of a report she will distribute to the Task Force monthly for review. She
will bring the fiscal plan to each meeting.
Jenna will continue to use Quick Books software but without the balance function.
No new mini-grants at this time.
Matt stated that he is considering submitting a mini-grant request to purchase projection equipment and
software for doing visual court presentations. He will discuss further at future Task Force meetings.
